Goal: Provide scholarships for persons with disabilities to attend camp.
Many future campers long for the day when they can attend a camp like Camp High Hopes. However, due to costs associated with a having a disability, this dream may not always be a reality. It is not uncommon for a camper to be subject to spending hundreds of dollars on medications on a monthly basis, as well as other medical bills associated with doctor visits, surgeries, medical equipment, and much more. Many families of a family member with a disability struggle with finances, and typically the money needed for their child or loved one to attend camp may not be available. Several campers may already rely on non-family funds for the basics such as food, shelter, and daily care.
Camp High Hopes strives to be a camp where financial limitations are not an issue. We strive to never turn a camper away. Camp High Hopes is now actively seeking donors who can contribute cash donations totaling $4 million for an endowment that will provide scholarships for campers that would otherwise not have the financial means to attend Camp High Hopes.
Camp High Hopes is a year-round recreational facility exclusively designed and operated for people with special needs. The camp is a not-for-profit organization.
